“We reject all shameful deeds and underhanded methods. We don’t try to trick anyone or distort the word of God. We tell the truth before God, and all who are honest know this.” (2 Corinthians 4:2 NLT)
It’s interesting to think that those who are honest know we are telling the truth. The implication is that those who tell lies will not know we are telling the truth. Or perhaps they will think we are lying, which isn’t quite the same thing.
But mainly, Paul is telling Christians that they must reject shameful and underhanded methods.
Easier said than done!
