Day 245 (I am a day behind. Don’t know how that happened!)

“History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new.” (‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬ NLT)

I like this one because it is patently not true! And that’s the point, isn’t it. This statement is meant to make you question. Things are always being discovered and invented. New things pop up every day!

Windows 9 is on the horizon. 3D printing. The revelations and discoveries being found by the Rossetti space probe as it circles a distant comet. All these things are new and exciting.

Wisdom comes from questioning. Wisdom comes from pushing that door, even if it tells you to “pull”! Wisdom comes from an enquiring soul and a desire to not just take things for granted.

By the way, the past couple of days I have used passages from the Old Testament. That’s not a coincidence. I do like the book of Job, but this is the first time I’ve read Ecclesiastes. It is the wisdom of King David. Compare this with Paul’s second letter to the Corinthians, which I find really tough going.

So there will very probably be more of David’s Ecclesiastes in the days to come.

And, hopefully, I can get back on track again.
